The London-based Pan-European equity team manages portfolios covering Europe in addition to the UK. In 2002 the team adopted Aberdeen’s fundamental investment process that has proven consistently successful in Asia. Investment managers rotate company visits albeit they have some country/sector oversight.
We regard the opportunities available in Pan-Europe very positively. Much of the universe remains under-researched, which makes it attractive for the long-term stockpicker. The industry’s emphasis on short-term performance in particular has skewed coverage to large caps. We invest across the market cap spectrum.
